I actually got the test render in the parking lot out,i was facing this annoying issue with the shadows on the wall, they would show up in the render but won’t show up in After effects when i import the rendered sequence. The issue was that i had to add a specific map called Vraybackground, this map renders out the background that is used in the file, so whatever shows up there, would show up in the map. This week’s lesson was about camera projection, a technique that would help a LOT in the future, this technique is basically creating detailed objects without the hassle if modeling, an object would be created, and then an image would be projected onto it. Of course it’s not that easy, there needs to be measurements that use the perspective measures in Max, this is to determine how the image is positioned, after that, the object comes in and it is placed in the correct orientation. I would have wanted to use that but I'm not that good at this technique, so maybe next time. I also worked on the textures some more, I was able to get that burned effect on the model’s legs so it looks like the leg was blown off. The textures are almost done, i will start filming the movie next week hopefully.

i checked out a video on how to create a scratched up texture for the legs, as i had planned that the alien had it's blasted on it's way down to earth. the burn mark had to lead up to the upper part of the leg, i used Triplanar to achieve that, but i checked out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvJeOZrj_Ko to get the damaged look i was going for.
